Anthony Gaudioso began his entertainment career in NY, acting as a teenager, starring in Nike ad campaigns for Spike Lee and a multitude of independent films. Anthony earned a film degree from the University of C.W POST, NY and has received extensive performance training from Stella Adler, Bill Howey and Ivana Chubbuck.
In 2007, Anthony wrote and directed his first feature film, entitled “Medium”, a supernatural drama pitting two young brothers in a house that is fully occupied with unresolved spirits. The film was favorably received and is currently in production for a remake.
Upon moving to Los Angeles, Anthony teamed up with his twin brother James and wrote/directed their second feature film “Duke” 2011, a melodrama about two men parading themselves around West Los Angeles posing as police officers and cowboys. “Duke” was widely praised and ultimately sold at the Cannes International Film Festival; both domestically and internationally.
With The Gaudioso Twin’s third feature film, “The Ghost and The Whale”, Anthony has written something truly fantastical. The story revolves around a recently widowed, Joseph Hawthorne(Maurice Benard), a man who can’t remember exactly what happened to his wife while they were out to sea. One year later, Joseph is forced to “raise the dead”, while evading his wife’s disgruntled brothers, a curious reporter and the trappings of his polarizing illness. His only friend and confident is an enormous Grey Whale played brilliantly by(Jonathan Pryce).
Anthony is currently writing his 4th feature film, entitled “Texas Blood” and re-making “Medium”, now dubbed “The Threshold”.
